Oklahoma commit Milos Uzan took control of the final Friday night game tonight in the Duel in the Desert showcase from the opening tip.  Uzan and his Dream City Christian (10-3) teammates controlled the flow of the game all night long against Minnesota Prep (4-4).

The Eagles rolled to an 86-60 victory with recent LSU commit Yohan Traore being named the Powerade player of the game. Traore came out fierce and strong tonight scoring at will and dominating the game from both ends of the court.  Yohan finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds for coach Kyle Weavers’ squad and showed LSU fans what a great player they will be getting next season. Traore twice in the first half brought down the defensive rebound and then showed his ball handling skills going the full length of the floor with spectacular dunks to score.

Minnesota Prep had not played since last Sunday afternoon when they beat Phoenix Prep 81-75 in the final game of the Grind Sessions Rising Sun showcase. The Minnesota team was led tonight by DJ Jefferson, Brenden Moss and Tavion Banks. All three had good all-around games tonight with Jefferson leading the team in scoring with 15 points and he also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Next up for the Dream City Christian Eagles is Phoenix Prep tonight at 7pm on the Eagles home floor. Minnesota Prep will try to turn it around tonight as they take on Albuquerque prep in the final game tonight at 8:45pm. Both games will be the final action for each team in the Grind Sessions Duel in the Desert showcase. Dream City will try and increase their Grind Session record to 11-4 while Minnesota Prep will try and go to 5-4 on the season.
