Central Pointe from Florida took on Our Savior Lutheran from the Bronx New York this afternoon in the last day of the Marshall County Hoopfest in Kentucky. The Central Pointe Tigers won the game going away 86-68 over the OSL Falcons.

The Falcons of OSL took a quick 7-2 lead over the Tigers from Central Pointe and held that lead halfway through the opening period.  Mykol Sanchez hit a baseline 3 pointer with 12:15 left in the first half and the Tigers never looked back. Sanchez hit a turn around 3 pointer with 2.2 seconds on the clock until halftime to put Central Pointe up 38-28 at the half.

The second half was much of the same for Central Pointe.  The Tigers went out and put up 48 points to run away with the game winning by an 18 point lead.

Player of the game for Central Pointe was Mykol Sanchez who had 30 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. He had 7 three point shots and his teammate Jalen Carruth was right behind him with 6 three pointers. Next up on the Grind Session for Central Pointe will be the the Mustang Madness tournament which will be held at McCracken High School in Kentucky on January 6-9.  Their first opponent will be Minnesota Prep on January 6th at 8pm.
