Dream City Christian has been on a long road trip the past couple weeks and got to the hotel in Paducah Kentucky for the Mustang Madness tournament at 4:30am the day of their game against OSL out of the Bronx New York. The Dream City boys looked like they had little sleep in the first half of the game getting blown out by OSL who were playing a fantastic game.

OSL came out strong and quick running the floor and building a big lead with excellent play by Ibine Ayo Sadiku, Jaquan Sanders and Silas Sunday. After the first quarter ended OSL had a huge 26-7 lead.

The second quarter was pretty much the same as the first with solid offense, shooting 50% from the field, and great defense from OSL. Dream City would have been down by a lot more if it wasn’t for the play of point guard Milos Uzan. The Oklahoma commit was pretty much the entire offense for the Eagles. Halftime score was OSL 38, Dream City 21.

Nate Pickens hit a 3-point shot to start the second half for Dream City cutting the lead to 14 points, but OSL would not take their foot off of the gas pedal and built a lead to as much as 21 points.

Dream City finally shook of the jet lag and started playing much better basketball.  Uzan, Shawn Phillips and Nate Pickens took over the offense for Dream City and at the end of three quarters of play they were only down 12 points 52-40.

To start the fourth quarter Uzan and Phillips great play cut the lead to 8 points, and after a smart time out by coach Kyle weaver Pickens hit a couple shots and the lead was only 5 points.  Uzan then scored on a dribble drive and the lead was just two points. Jeffery Brazziel then scored on a drive and the 21-point lead was gone.  Game tied at 69 with under two minutes left to play.

After a missed shot by OSL Milos Uzan took the ball up court looked around at his teammates and then hit a deep three point shot to give Dream City the lead at 62-59. Silas Sunday then grabbed an offensive rebound and scored for OSL to make the score 62-61. The last minute of the game was at the foul line, but Dream City won the game with a great second half comeback 64-61.

Milos Uzan was player of the game with 27 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Next up for Dream City is Denver Prep on Saturday night.
